I would consider [Whozat] to be the most comprehensive people-search engine I’ve seen

Monday, November 10th, 2008

SuperTicker writes about Whozat in his StumbleUpon review: “Whozat is a meta people-search engine drawing information from several social and professional networking sites as well as the web at large. Moreover, it lets you refine your search (indicate what’s “zat”) so to improve the relevance rank of your search results. See the Help pages. You can enter part of a name or even include keywords that would distinguish your person of interest from all the others. I would consider it to be the most comprehensive people-search engine I’ve seen.”

Make Whozat your default search engine in IE, Firefox or Chrome browsers

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

To do the same for Chrome,  go to the Settings menu at top right (looks like pliers), choose Options, make sure you are in the Basics tab, click on Manage next to Default search, click Add, enter Whozat into Name, w into the Keyword field, and http://www.whozat.com/search/?oneboxname=%s&search=Whozat+Me&src=Chrome into the URL field. Then click OK, select Whozat in the list of search engines and click on Make Default.
